Call for Nerdy Improvisation Workshop

Two Emerson Alumni are looking for improvisers and actors interested in workshopping stories and structures for a live improv show at a local comic book shop in Davis Square. We’re looking to develop concepts and storylines that are focused on comic book, fantasy and science fiction themes. 

The workshop will include:

• Sound improv based in storytelling, characters, and relationships.
• A fun, open environment  for all things nerdy, especially comic books, science fiction, period dramas and whatever else you may be into. 
• Refreshments and Pizza

We’d love to be able to cast the show from this workshop, but you are not obligated to commit to anything beyond this workshop. 

Must be available either Thursday May 17th for a two and half hour period. Experience in long form improv a plus but not required! If interested, please contact us at samandgidshow@gmail.com with a quick blurb about your experience and why this project interests you, additional contact information and which day(s) you are availabile. Headshot/resume welcomed but not required.

This is Richard Hayne, President and CEO of Urban Outfitters. He’s also a supporter of Rick Santorum and donated over $13,000 to him. He’s against gay marriage and abortion.

His company pulled a pro-gay shirt back in 08, they also blatantly ripped off an Etsy designers work, featured a t-shirt for women that said “eat less” and most recently had a card with a “tranny” slur on in.

Why do you shop at this store? I imagine because you weren’t aware of these facts. Now you are, so stop shopping there.
